Gertrude M. Shutt

Gertrude M. Shutt, 87, a former Strasburg resident, died Monday, January 31, 2000 in the South Broadway Nursing Home at New Philadelphia. Born January 18, 1913 at Strasburg, she was daughter of the late Robert D. & Christina Kramer Bowen. She was a member of the St. John United Church of Christ at Strasburg. Gertrude was preceded in death by her husband Harold Artimus Shutt. Survivors include several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, Gertrude was preceded in death by her sister, Opal McGinnis. Funeral services will be held Friday, February 4, at 11:00am in the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home at Strasburg with Rev. Dana Keirstead officiating. Interment will be in the Grandview Union Cemetery at Strasburg. Friends may call in the funeral home on Thursday from 4-7pm.
