Gladwyn ''Kay'' Edwards

Gladwyn “Kay” Edwards, 59 of Strasburg, died Thursday, April 3, 2003 following a brief illness.

She was a nurse�(TM)s aide and had most recently worked with the Park Village Health Care Center.

Born March 27, 1944 at Dover, she was a daughter of the late William and Blanch Kuemerle Brannen.

Kay was a loving mother and grandmother. She received a great deal of joy from spending time with her grandchildren and doing special things for friends and family. Kay also enjoyed playing on the computer, playing cards with friends and playing Bingo. Additionally, Kay collected bears and had been a member of the Dover VFW Auxiliary.

Kay is survived by: two children; Jeff (Courtney) Edwards of Kittery Point, Maine and Shelly Kopp of Dover, six grandchildren; Tyler, Lucas and Jeremy Edwards, Samantha Kandel, Zachary and Chelsea Kopp, a sister; Barbara (Walter) Burtscher of Dover, two aunts; Mary Johnson and Verna Arnold, both of Dover, a niece and four nephews.

In addition to her parents, Kay was preceded in death by a sister, Linda Yenny and a nephew.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, April 8, at 11:00 a.m. in the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home, Dover with Pastor Bob Jones officiating. Cremation will follow services with a private family committal being held in the Dover Burial Park. Friends may call at the funeral home on Monday from 6-8pm.
