Gladys E. Ruggeri

Gladys E. Ruggeri, 84, of Dover passed away on Thursday, March 17, 2022 at Union Hospital following a brief illness.

She was born on September 30, 1937 in Dover to the late John and Martha Hackathorn Miller. Gladys was also preceded in death by her husband, Philip Ruggeri Sr. on August 19, 2019; brother and sister in law, Bud (Juanita) Miller; sister, Darlene Miller and son in law, Randy Torch.

She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Dover. In her younger years, Gladys enjoyed playing a round of golf with her friends and belonged to several different bowling leagues. She was an animal lover, who was especially fond of her dogs and watching the birds in her yard.

A loving mother and grandmother, Gladys is survived by her children, Philip (Alyson) Ruggeri Jr. of Florida, Diane Torch, Matt (Tracey) Ruggeri, Andy (Denise) Ruggeri all of Dover; brother, Joe (Kathy) Miller of Strasburg; sisters, Roseanne (Emmett) Beitzel of New Philadelphia, Catherine Miller of Georgia; eight grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.

Cremation has been entrusted to the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home and Crematory at Dover. A service celebrating her life will be held on Friday, March 25th at the Dover funeral home, starting at 11:00 am with Fr. Jimmy Hatfield officiating. The family will be greeting friends one hour prior to the service on Friday.

Memorial contributions may be made to St. Joseph Catholic Church or to the Tuscarawas County Humane Society.
