Gladys I Flickinger

Gladys I. Flickinger, 94, of Strasburg died Tuesday, February 17, 2004 at Hennis Care Centre following an extended illness.

She had worked in the cafeteria at Strasburg Schools for 20 years.

Born September 16, 1909 in Strasburg she was a daughter of the late Gilbert and Nora Lab Snyder.

She was a member of First Lutheran Church in Strasburg and the Busy Bee Quilters. She was also a member of Tuscarawas County Senior Citizens. Along with her love of quilting she also enjoyed gardening.

Gladys was preceded in death by her husband Earl Flickinger who passed away on May 16, 2000.

She is survived by a son: Paul (Della) Flickinger of Dover

Daughter: Elnora (Richard) Fuhrer of Strasburg

Brother: Paul (Betty) Snyder of New Philadelphia

Sister: Elsie Margo of Dover

Eight grandchildren: Nancy Darrah, Brenda Kubiak, Karen Marlowe
Ken, Ted, Dean and Donald Fuhrer
Barb Bryan

13 great grandchildren

She was also preceded in death by five brothers and two sisters.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, February 20, 2004 at 10:30 am in the First Lutheran Church at Strasburg with Pastor Fred Grosse officiating. Interment will be at the Grandview Union Cemetery in Strasburg. Friends can call at the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home in Strasburg on Thursday from 6-8 pm.
