Gladys M. Dayton, 95, of Strasburg went to be with Jesus on Tuesday, Oct. 21, 2014 following a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer.

Gladys was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, Clyde V. Dayton who died Oct. 13, 2002. In addition, she was preceded by her daughter, Joan Breniser; a son, Richard Dayton; and four sisters, Alda, Florence, and Martha Heid and Mary Swegheimer.
She will be sadly missed by her family including her two sons, Dave (Roberta) Dayton and Ted (Shari) Dayton both of Strasburg; three grandchildren, Eric (Karla) Dayton, Rebecca (Devlin) Mitchell, Mandy (Charles) Porter; six great grandchildren, two step great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren, and a sister, Dorothy Steiner of Strasburg.
Funeral services will be held Friday, Oct. 24, 2014 beginning at 11am in the St. John United Church of Christ in Strasburg with Rev. Dr. Monte Canfield officiating. Interment will be in the Grandview Union Cemetery at Strasburg. Friends may call at the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home & Crematory in Strasburg on Thursday from 4-6pm.
