Gladys M. Kirkbride, 73, of 222 W. 8th St., Dover, Ohio died Friday, June 22, 2001 in her home following an extended illness.
Born June 15, 1928 in Dover, she was the daughter of the late Herbert and Carrie Henderson Trustdorf.
Gladys was an active member of the First Moravian Church where she was a Sunday Schoolteacher for 25 years and was involved in the Womens Fellowship. She was also a presiding judge with the Tuscarawas County Board of Elections for 35 years and longtime member of the Tuscarawas County Democratic Women.
She was preceded in death by her husband Harold Kirkbride who died April 14, 1997.
She is survived by five children Jeffrey (Beverly) Kirkbride, Ann Kirkbride, Linda (Edward) McRobie all of Dover; William (Darlene) Kirkbride of Beach City and Mark (Stephanie) Kirkbride of Wilmot
Seven grandchildren Ryan and Jennifer Kirkbride; Jason (Amber) Mayforth, Jamie Mayforth, and Jon (Heidi) Mayforth; Billy and Carrie Ann Kirkbride and two great grandchildren Chantz and Celina Mayforth.
Three sisters Margaret (Eugene) Schumacher and Nadine (Kenneth) Kutcher both of Dover; Eileen (Claude) Blauch of Sugarcreek and a brother, John (Mary Jane) Trustdorf of Michigan.
She was preceded in death by one grandson, Eric Kirkbride and three brothers, Robert, Marion, and Charles Trustdorf.
Funeral Services will be held Tuesday at 10:00 am in the First Moravian Church at Dover with Rev. Allen Bergmann officiating. Interment will be in the Dover Burial Park. Friends can call at the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home in Dover on Monday from 2-4 & 7-9 pm.
