Glenn E. Jentes Sr., 91 of Dover died Saturday, August 21, 1999 at the Park Village Health Care Center following a brief illness.
He retired from the Reeves Steel Mill after 43 years of service.
Born October 24, 1907 in Dover, he was a son of the late Clarence and Alice Spahr Jentes.
He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Alphas Fraternity in Dover and was an Army Veteran of WW II serving on the Military Police Force.
Glenn is survived by his wife Violet Gould Jentes with whom he would have celebrated 56 years of marriage on September 4, 1999.
He is also survived by a daughter: Suzanne and Edward Kosters of Grand Rapids, Michigan.
Son: Ed and Becky Jentes of Madbury, New Hampshire.
Three granddaughters: Jennifer and Derek Alvis of San Jose, California.
Maggie and Katie Jentes of Madbury, New Hampshire.
Great grandson: Levi Alvis.
Sister in law: Glenda Jentes of Dover.
Brother in law: Kenneth Heathcock of New Philadelphia.
He was also preceded in death by two brothers: Donald and Wilbert Jentes.
Two sisters: Irene Heathcock and Verna Zernechel.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesay, August 25, 1999 at 1:00 pm in the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home at Dover with Fr. William Arnold officiating. Interment will be in the Calvary Cemetery at Dover. Friends may call at the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home on Tuesday from 6-8 pm with Christian Wake Services starting at 7:45 pm.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Joseph Catholic Church.
