Goldie Gay Barcroft, age 85, of Dover, passed away Monday, April 23, 2018.
Born May 27, 1932 in Sugarcreek, she was a daughter of the late John and Ann Menegay Barcroft. Goldie graduated from Dover High School in 1951, and was employed as a department manager for the former Dover Nichols Discount City. She was a devoted daughter, caring for her father and mother in their old age. Goldie was a member of the First Moravian Church, Dover, and in her spare time, enjoyed playing cards and going bowling.
Survivors include her aunt, Betty Menegay; her nephews, Tom “Steve” (wife, Kristine) and Chris Barcroft; her nieces, Barbara Jo (husband, Ray) Thompson and Lori Love; and her step-sister, Shirley Watson.
Besides her parents, Goldie was preceded in death by her brother and sister-in-law, Tom and Barbara Barcroft; her half-sister, Carol Barcroft; her niece, Gloria Franks; and her special uncle, LeRoy “Bud” Menegay.
Family and friends are invited to call at the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home & Crematory, Dover, on Friday, April 27, 10 - 11 a.m. A graveside service will be held Friday at 11:15 a.m. in Dover Burial Park with Pastor John Wallace officiating. Following the committal, there will be a lunch in the First Moravian Church.
