Grace N. Lyons, 94, of Strasburg died Sunday, August 30, 2009 at New Dawn Health Care Center.
Grace, along with her husband, co-owned the Lyons Motel and Gift Shop in Strasburg for many years.
Born February 9, 1915 in New Philadelphia she was a daughter of the late Grant and Ada Gonter Kaderly. Her husband, Howard E. Lyons who died on February 11, 1989; brother George Kaderly and great grandson, Luke Shetler also preceded her in death.
Grace was a member of the First Lutheran Church in Strasburg and the Rachel Circle. She was also a member of the Delphian and Women's Club.
A wonderful and loving mother and grandmother, Grace will be sadly missed by her daughter, Beverly (husband, Robert) Shetler of Strasburg; son, William Lyons and his fiancé, Brenda Hayes of Dover; grandchildren, Debbie (John Emig, Susie (Jeff) Willis, Ted (Mary Jane) Shetler, Tom (Christine) Shetler, Brandon Lyons and his fiance, Lindsay DeLaCruz and Andrea Lyons; great grandchildren, Tiffany (Matt) Tharp, Lindsay (Damian) Thomas, Jeremy Shetler, Taylor Shetler, Cadi Shetler, Cody Shetler, Chase Willis, Clay Shetler, Logan Shetler, Gabe Shetler and Ankita Shetler; great great grandchildren; AJ and Gracie Tharp, Kyler Shetler and Riley Thomas
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, September 2, 2009 at 11:00 am in the First Lutheran Church at Strasburg with Pastor Steven Woyen officiating. Interment will be in the Grandview Union Cemetery at Strasburg. Friends can call in the Toland-Herzig Funeral Homes and Crematory at Dover on Tuesday from 6-8 pm.
