Gregor Allen Hagloch, 77, of Dover died on Tuesday, April 21, 2015 in Union Hospital following a period of declining health.
Born September 13, 1937 in Dover he was a son of the late Henry and Mary Wherley Hagloch. Gregor was also preceded in death by his wife, Gloria Hagloch in 2007 and his younger brother, Grant Hagloch.
He was a 1955 graduate of Lincoln High School at Canton, then joined the Navy and proudly served aboard the USS Ponchatoula, visiting Japan and the Philippines. He married his first wife, Betty Ann Ray in 1960 while studying at the Ohio State University. Later, he worked with the US Post Office in Canton and the Employment Office in Akron. Gregor enjoyed the outdoors, especially fishing and he also loved going to Limby's with his friends. He was an avid Indians and Browns fan as well.
Gregor will be sadly missed by his daughters, Kathlyn (Dwight) Zurcher and Judy (Jim) Zeigler both of Stone Creek; son, Michael Hagloch of Canton; eight grandchildren; youngest brother, Joseph (Susan) Hagloch of Dover and his former wife, Betty Ann Ray also of Dover.
Graveside services will be held on Friday, April 24 at 10:00 am at the Dover Burial Park with Rev. David Wing officiating. There are no calling hours. The Toland-Herzig Funeral Home and Crematory at Dover is handling arrangements.
