Gwenneth Levon Floyd, age 73, of Dover, passed away Wednesday, March 9, 2022, in Dover’s Cleveland Clinic Union Hospital..
Born September 7, 1948, in Dover, she was a daughter of the late Walter and Maxine Carpenter Cotterman, Gwenneth graduated from New Philadelphia High School in 1967 and went on to attend Kent State University. She was employed by the Muskingum Watershed Conservancy District for 31 years, retiring in 2009.
Gwenneth was a faithful member of the First Moravian Church in Dover. She was a voracious reader all of her life, and enjoyed travel; one of her favorite destinations was Gatlinburg, Tennessee.
She is survived by her close friend with whom she resided, Janet Zimmerman; her brother, Terry (Patty) Cotterman of Dover; her nephew, Jonathan (Kenyetta) Zimmerman of Crestview, Florida; her great-nieces and great-nephew, Alexis, Jocelyn and Jordan Zimmerman.
Visitation will be Tuesday, March 15, 12:30 - 1:30 p.m., in the First Moravian Church. A funeral service will follow at 1:30, with Pastor John B. Wallace officiating.
