Harry A. ''Sonny'' Seibert, 85, of Dover died Tuesday, September 12, 2000 at Aultman Hospital following an extended illness.
He retired in 1980 from Union Camp in Dover after 45 years of service.
Born March 4, 1915 in Lorain he was a son of the late Harry and Martha Helmsdoerfer Seibert.
He was a member of First Moravian Church in Dover, Alpha Pi Fraternity, Dover Elks Club and was a former member of Union Country Club. He was a Marine Veteran of WW II and was at Iwo Jima when they raised the American Flag.
Harry was preceded in death by his first wife Edith Goodrich Seibert who died on July 22, 1986 and his second wife Gertrude Frantz Gordon Seibert who died on March 19, 2000.
He is survived by a son: David and Midge Seibert Sr. of North Canton
Sister: Martha and Donald Snyder of Dayton
Three grandchildren: Tammy, Theresa and David Jr.
Six great grandchildren
He was also preceded in death by a sister: Frieda Seibert
Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held on Friday, September 15, 2000 at 11:00 am in the First Moravian Church at Dover with Pastor Allen Bergmann officiating. Interment will be at Ridgecrest Memory Garden. The Toland-Herzig Funeral Home in Dover is handling arrangements.
