Harry “Bud” Dickey Jr., 63, of Dover, Ohio died Tuesday, April 12, 2005 in Belmont County, Ohio from injuries received in a motor vehicle accident.

Bud was a self employed truck driver for over 25 years.

Born August 20, 1941 in Tuscarawas County, he was the son of the late Harry Sr. and Ida Edwards Dickey.

Bud was a graduate of Tusky Valley High School. He was also a member of the New Philadelphia VFW. He was a true family man having enjoyed spending time with his five grandsons and attending their sporting events.

He is survived by his wife, Virginia McMurray Dickey with whom he would have celebrated forty four years of marriage this May 20.

He is also survived by three children; Robin Geers and Lyle (Dianne) Dickey both of Dover and Rhonda (Dave) Redmon of Mineral Wells, W. Va.; five grandsons, T.J. and Nathan Geers, Kyler and Kaden Dickey and Zachary Redmon; two sisters, Shirley Pulley and Lola Dickey; his mother in law, Evelyn McMurray of Dover; sister in law, Deborah (Kevin) Barrett of Dover; a brother in law, Dan McMurray and a nephew, Christopher Whyde.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one daughter, Ruth Ann Dickey, a niece, Carissa Leigh McMurray; four sisters, June Scott, Mary Berndt, Betty White, and Evelyn Edwards and his father in law, Harold Lee McMurray.

A service celebrating Bud�(TM)s life will be held Saturday, April 16, 2005 at 11am in the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home & Crematory in Dover with Pastor William Sowers and Elder Eugene Chadwell officiating. Interment will be in the Dover Burial Park. A reception will follow in the Toland-Herzig Monarch Center. Friends will be received on Friday from 5-8 pm in the funeral home.
