Hazel M. Watkins, 88, of Dover died Saturday, February 28, 2009 at Union Hospital.
She retired in 1998 from Dover Station Restaurant after 14 years and had also worked at Bassetti's for 18 years.
Born March 10, 1920 in Dover Township she was a daughter of the late Fredrick and Pearl Yeager Rothacher. Her husband, William Watkins who died in 1985, son, William F. Watkins; daughter, Barbara J. Watkins and three brothers also preceded Hazel in death.
She was a member of Day Star Holiness in Dover, Dover VFW Aux and the Eagles.
Hazel is survived by five sons, Thomas (Donna) Watkins of Dover, David (Anette) Watkins of Magnolia, Richard (Dreama) Watkins of New Philadelphia, Ray (Denise) Watkins of Strasburg and James Watkins of New Philadelphia; four daughters, Etta Mae (Lester) Green of Dover, Patricia Ann (Ralph) Skinner of Canton, Sandra (Larry) Conerly of Orrville and Diane (Randy) McNutt of Magnolia; six brothers and sisters; 38 grandchildren and numerous great and great-great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, March 4, 2009 at 11:00 am in the Toland-Herzig Funeral Homes and Crematory at Dover with Rev. Lomas Shuman officiating. Interment will be in the Ridgecrest Memory Gardens. Friends can call in the funeral home from 9-11 am on Wednesday.
