Helen I. Peoples Reiss, 100, of New Philadelphia and a former longtime resident of Uhrichsville, died Thursday, June 23, 2005 in New Dawn Health Care Center.

Born October 5, 1904 at Dennison, she was the daughter of the late Fred & Etta Dugan Peoples.

She was a member of the Uhrichsville Presbyterian Church.

Helen was preceded in death by her husband, Henry J. Reiss, who died May 22, 1974.

Survivors include: her son, Richard H. “Dick” (Maxine) Reiss of Dover; daughter, Mrs. Roger (Paula) Jones of Centerville; grandchildren, Michael & Susan Jones; step-grandson, Larry (Elizabeth) Fulton; and step-great grandsons Adam and Aaron Fulton.

In addition to her parents and husband, Helen was preceded in death by: five brothers, Raymond, Carl, Harold, Roy and Donald; and two sisters, Ruth and Naomi.

Her body will be cremated through the care of the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home & Crematory at New Philadelphia.

In celebration of her life, a public graveside service will be held Wednesday, June 29, at 1:30 p.m. in New Philadelphia�(TM)s Evergreen Burial Park.
