Helen M. Blackson

Helen M. Blackson, 93, of Dover died Wednesday, May 10, 2017 in the Hennis Care Centre at Dover.

Born October 3, 1923 in Dover she was a daughter of the late George and Anna Mochosky Cerveni. Helen was also preceded in death by her husband, Herbert W. Blackson on February 2, 1983; son, Herbert Blackson; sisters, Anna Blackson, Irene Maus and brother, George Cerveni.

She was a member of Grace Lutheran Church, Caring Friends Lunch Group, and was involved with a grief support group at the church for many years.

A wonderful and loving mother and grandmother, Helen will be sadly missed by her daughter, Lottie Beach of Dover; grandchildren, Lisa (Jeff) Forhan, Shirley Beach, Jack (Brenda) Beach, Tom Beach; great grandchildren, Sheldon Bunton, Thomas Beach, Mike Beitzel, Matthew Beitzel, Tim and Jeff Beach; and several great-great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, May 15 at 1:30 pm in the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home and Crematory at Dover with Pastor Donald Rice officiating. Interment will be at the Ridgecrest Memory Gardens. Friends may call at the funeral home on Sunday from 2-4 pm.
