Helen M. Butt Watson

Helen M. Butt Watson, 89, of New Philadelphia, passed away Saturday, November 5, 2005 at the St. Joseph Care Center in Louisville where she had been a resident for the past 2 ½ years.

She was a cook at many different restaurants throughout the county and also worked at the Dairy Bar in Mineral City.

She enjoyed crocheting and loved to make afghans, doilies and quilts. Helen lived a full life with a wealth of love from her large and family.

She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Twyla Jean Butt; grandson, Matthew Williams and sister, Doris Reidl.

Helen is survived by her son, Richard (Sue) Butt of Canton; daughter, Doris (Bill) Williams of Louisville; sister, Eunice (Ben) Cookson of New Philadelphia; brother, Melvin Kiser of New Philadelphia; 11 grandchildren, 26 great grandchildren and nine great-great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews.

Graveside services will be held on Wednesday, November 9, 2005 at 1:30 pm in the Evergreen Burial Park at New Philadelphia with Fr. John Metzger officiating. Friends can call at the Toland-Herzig Funeral Homes and Crematory in New Philadelphia on Tuesday from 6-8 pm.
