Henry Isaiah Hagloch, 91, passed away on June 8, 2005 following a period of declining health. A caring son, brother, husband and father, he was preceded in death by his wife, Mary, on March 14, 2005 and his son, Grant, on June 2, 2005. Henry and Mary would have celebrated their 70th wedding anniversary this Christmastime. He will be missed by his two sons, Gregor (Gloria) and Joseph (Susan); grandchildren, Michael, Kathy, Judy, Charles and Thomas and many great grandchildren.
Henry was a founding member of the original “East End Tigers”, a sporting organization of neighborhood boys from the east end of Dover. They participated in many sports, challenging other neighborhood groups in the 1920�(TM)s and 1930�(TM)s.
Henry was born on March 13, 1914 to Henry C. Hagloch and Charlotte Pfeiffer in Dover.
During the depression Henry worked at various jobs and then studied to be a precision inspector, a position he enjoyed and excelled at for the rest of his working career. He retired in 1976.
Henry and Mary raised their family first in Canton until 1954 and then in Dover to the present.
Graveside services will be held on Friday, June 10, 2005 at 11:00 am in the Dover Burial Park with Rev. Dan Schaefer officiating. There are no calling hours. The Toland-Herzig Funeral Home and Crematory in Dover is handling arrangements.
