Irene L. Mize

Irene L. Mize, 88, of the New Dawn Healthcare at Dover passed away on Wednesday, March 16, 2011. She was born on December 21, 1922 to the late Ellen C. Lewis and David James Lewis. She was married to the late Rev. Edward C. Mize. Irene was a member of the Winnabow, N.C. Church of God of Prophecy. Her hobbies included reading and studying the Bible along with always reaching out and helping others.

She is survived by her daughter Barbara (Walt) Stockert of Strasburg, Ohio and son, Joseph Mize of Woodbridge, Virginia; granddaughter, Alicia Ward (Gary Garabrandt) of Orlando, Florida; grandson, William (Tiffany) Judson of Hillsboro, Oregon; brother, Oswald (Betty) Lewis of Grifton, N.C.; brother in law Willie Griffin of Ayden, N.C. along with many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Graveside services will be held Monday, March 21, 2011 at 11:30 am in the Forest Lawn Cemetery in Bolivia, N.C.
