Isaac H. Boyes Jr.

Isaac H. Boyes Jr., age 70, of Waynesburg, passed away Wednesday, June 26, 2024, in Hennis Care Centre, Bolivar.

Born March 14, 1954, in Creston, he was a son of the late Isaac H. and Betty (Parker) Boyes. Isaac attended Norwayne High School, and later married the former Terez Kovats on March 13, 1979. The couple had three daughters and shared over 25 years together prior to Terez’s passing on June 6, 2004. Isaac was employed by the Republic Steel Company in Massillon for many years. He loved the outdoors, particularly hunting and fishing, and he enjoyed collecting firearms.

Isaac is survived by his daughters, Misty (Eric) Kemp of East Sparta, and Kristi (Josh Warrick) Boyes of Canton; his grandchildren, Danielle (Zack) Tanner, Isaac (Kyrsten) Kemp and Eric Kemp Jr.; his great-grandchildren, Able and Waylon Kemp; his sisters and brother, Linda (Wayne) Corp, Yvonne (Melvin) Smith, Dale Boyes, Dawn (Dale) LaMaster and Judy (Robert) Reed; and his nieces and nephews.

Besides his parents and his wife, Terez, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Latricia Boyes, and his sisters, Bobbie Holcomb and Shirley Lonsbury.

Isaac will be cremated through the care of the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home & Crematory, Dover. There will be a celebration of his life at the home of Misty and Eric Kemp, 9630 Ridge Ave. S.E., East Sparta, on Saturday, July 20, beginning at 3 p.m.
