Isabell M. Pietro

Isabell M. Pietro, 82, of Dover, Ohio died Friday, June 8, 2007 in Union Hospital following a brief illness.

Born May 22, 1925 in Sugarcreek, Ohio, she was the daughter of the late Henry and Jennie (Jentes) Finzer.

She operated the former Dinner Bell Restaurant in downtown Dover during the 1950's. She also assisted her husband, Frank in the operation of the former Frank's Muffler Shop in Dover.

Isabell was a member of the St. Joseph�(TM)s Catholic Church in Dover and was active in the St. Joseph�(TM)s Seniors. She was a 1943 graduate of Sugarcreek High School. She and her husband, Frank lived in the Ft. Lauderdale, Florida area during the winters for over twenty years.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Francis (Frank) W. Pietro Sr. who died September 19, 2003. They were married for 57 years. She was also preceded by two brothers, Dalton and Donald Finzer and three sisters, LaVerne Swihart, Alice Lahmers, and Helen Zumbach.

Isabell is survived by five children; Frank (Cynthia) Pietro of Dover, Steve (Janice) Pietro of Dover, Jennie Pietro Harris of Ft. Lauderdale, Jack (Kimberly) Pietro of Ft. Lauderdale and Mary Jo (Emery) Kunzman of Lighthouse Point, Florida; nine grandchildren, Theresa, Rico, James, Gina and Perry Pietro, Brandon and Jordan Harris, and Kelly and Kara Kunzman; a sister, Laura Rowe of Strasburg, a sister in law, Florence Finzer of Stone Creek, along with many nieces and nephews including Howard and Jane Lahmers of New Philadelphia.

A Rite of Christian Burial will be held Tuesday, June 12, 2007 at 10:30am in the St. Joseph�(TM)s Catholic Church at Dover with Fr. William Arnold officiating. Interment will be in the Calvary Cemetery at Dover. The family will receive friends on Monday from 5-8pm in the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home & Crematory in Dover where Christian Wake services will be prayed at 7:45pm.
