Isabelle (Sue) Ricer Marstrell

Isabelle (Sue) Ricer Marstrell, 76, of 343 Monroe St., Dover, Ohio died Monday, February 28, 2000 in her home following a brief illness. Sue owned and operated the Hide-A-Way Tavern in New Philadelphia for over 25 years. She was also a former saleswoman for Judy Lee Jewels. Born November 19, 1923 in Fresno, Ohio, she was the daughter of the late Valentine E. and Ellen F. Thomas Reiss. She was a member of the Tuscarawas Co. American Businesswomen’s Assn. And enjoyed working at the Dover Flea Market and loved traveling. She is survived by four children Robert J. (Hannelore) Ricer and Janet (Donald) Kemp both of New Philadelphia, Linda L. (William) Angus of Salem, Ohio, and John L. Marstrell of Akron. Five grandchildren Nadine J. (Matt) Russell, Rob and Vanessa Zifer all of New Philadelphia, Donald B. (Karen) Angus of Medina, Callie L. (Steve) Cribley of Bedford,OH and two stepgrandchildren Chad and Nathan Kemp of Columbus and a great grandson Cooper J. Russell One Brother Lewis T. Reiss of Newcomerstown and her former husband, William J. Marstrell of New Philadelphia She was preceded in death by an infant sister and her former husband, Robert Ricer. Funeral Services will be held Thursday, March 2, 2000 at 11:00 AM in the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home at Dover with Rev. Welton Stein officiating. A reception will be held following funeral services at the Broadway United Methodist Church in New Philadelphia. Interment will be in the Bunker Hill Cemetery at Winfield.
