Iva Faye Rausch

Iva Faye Rausch, age 90, of Dover, surrounded by her loving family and friends, went to be with her Lord and Savior, Wednesday, December 10, 2014, after a brief illness.

Born April 5, 1924, in Dover, she was a daughter of the late Martha (Miller) Meese. Iva Faye graduated from Dover High School in 1942, and, as a young lady was employed by Rausch's Grocery Store in Dover. While at Rausch's, she met the love of her life, Richard H. "Dick" Rausch, and the couple were wed on July 28, 1946. Iva Faye and Dick shared thirty-four years of marriage and reared two children prior to Dick's passing on July 17, 1980.

Iva Faye was a loving and beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend. She was spontaneous, vivacious and classy, a beautiful woman full of wisdom and grace (see Proverbs 31:10-31). Iva Faye faithfully attended Dover Alliance Church. She had a wonderful alto voice and often sang with her husband, daughter and friends at church, revivals and at the former county home. Among her favorite pastimes was gardening growing vegetables and flowers. Iva Faye touched many with her kindness and love. She is now blessed to be in Heaven with loved ones who have gone before.

She will be sadly missed by her family, who include her son, Richard H. (wife, Winnie) Rausch II of New Philadelphia; her daughter, Cynthia (husband, the late Ted) Milarcik of Dundee; her granddaughters, Traci Rausch, April (friend, Don Betz) Milarcik, Rebekah (husband, John) Curran, Laura Milarcik, Darcy Neff and Jessi (husband, Troy) Shumaker; her great-granddaughters, Caitlin Curran, Paeton Rausch, Rylie and Jade Shumaker and Misty Neff; her great-grandson, Joseph Neff; her four great-great-grandchildren; her sisters-in-law, Sandy Smith and Sue Meese; and her several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her mother and her husband, Dick, Iva Faye was preceded in death by her son-in-law, Ted Milarcik; her sisters and brothers-in-law, Jean and Max Burrell and Thelma and Dick Williams; and her brothers, George Edward "Eddie" and Dale Meese.

A funeral service will be held Monday, December 15, at 11 a.m., in the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home & Crematory, Dover, with Pastor Richard G. Rose officiating. Burial will be in Dover Burial Park. Following the committal, there will be a meal in the Dover Missionary Alliance Church. Family and friends are invited to call at the funeral home on Sunday, December 14, 3 5 p.m., and one hour prior to the service on Monday.
