Iva S. Schlemmer

Iva S. Schlemmer, age 95, of Dover, died Tuesday, March 31, 2015, at the New Dawn Retirement Campus.

Born March 6, 1920, in Riverside, Tennessee, she was a daughter of the late Thomas and Belle (Patton) Akers. She moved to Ohio at a young age and graduated from Dover High School.

Iva was employed by the former Jean Frock's in New Philadelphia and was a loving homemaker. She enjoyed reading, yardwork and going to auctions.

Survivors include her daughter-in-law, Viola L. Schlemmer; her grandchildren, Ronald (Tina) Schlemmer and Lori Yoder; and her great-grandchildren, Mason and Maggie Schlemmer and Trista and Cole Yoder.

In addition to her parents, Iva was preceded in death by her husband of fifty-six
years, Howard C. Schlemmer Sr. on November 26, 1996; and by her son, Howard C. Schlemmer Jr.
