J. May Daley

J. May Daley, 90, a lifelong resident of New Philadelphia, Ohio died Friday, November 12, 2010 in the Country Club Center at Dover.

May was a retired employee of Miller Studio in New Philadelphia where she worked for 27 years. She had previously been employed at the former Belmont Enameling Company in New Philadelphia for several years until its closing.

She was born September 27, 1920 in New Philadelphia, the daughter of the late Stephen and Vietta (Smart) Daley. She was also preceded by three brothers, William, Mark, and Dewey Daley; a sister, Florence Williams and a niece.

May is survived by a sister in law and her caregiver Rose Marie Daley of New Philadelphia and a sister in law, Wanda Daley of New Philadelphia along with several nieces and nephews and two great nieces.

Elder Glenn Carlisle will officiate private services Tuesday, November 16, 2010 in the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home & Crematory at New Philadelphia. Interment will be in the Evergreen Burial Park in New Philadelphia. There are no public calling hours.
