Jackie L. "Jack" Peters, 66, of 3569 Reichman Dr. NW, Dover, died Wednesday, February 23, 2000 in Aultman Hospital.
He was a retired mechanic, having spent more than 17 years at the former Ford automotive plant at Canton, then retiring from Simon Duplex at Dover.
Born November 22, 1933, at Range Twp., near London, Ohio, he is the son of Isabelle (Anthony) Peters of Taylor, Michigan, and the late Charles Peters.
Jack was a member of the St. Joseph Catholic Church at Dover. He was an active member of the community having been a lifetime member of the Dover Historical Society, member of the Dennison Railroad Museum, Tuscarawas County Art Guild and the Performance Ford Association of Canton of Canton.
He was an aircraft mechanic for the US Navy. He was involved in the Korean War and had been Chief Petty Officer during the Vietnam Conflict.
Jack is survived by his wife, Delores Mastri Peters, whom he wed on June 6, 1964. Other survivors include:

A funeral mass will be celebrated Monday, February 28, at 1:30pm in St. Joseph Catholic Church at Dover with Fr. William Arnold officiating. Interment will be in the Calvary Cemetery at Dover, where the Dover VFW will conduct military graveside services. Friends may call in the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home at Dover on Sunday from 7-9 pm.
