Jacob A. “Jake” Henry, 57, of Uhrichsville, died Sunday, May 31, 2004 in Union Hospital.
He will be sadly missed by his many friends and co-workers at Cable Manufacturing Co at Bolivar, where he was employed as a press operator.
Born December 7, 1946 at Wheeling, West Virginia, he was the son of Loraine Henry Finnicum of Bellaire and the late Norval Finnicum.
Jake was a fun-loving man with a variety of interests. He enjoyed golfing, fishing and bowling. He was an avid card player that loved playing Euchre and Poker. Additionally, Jake was a talented cook and always looked forward to spending time with his family.
He was a member of the Uhrichsville Eagles and Moose clubs and was a member of the American-Italian Club at Dennison.
In addition to his mother, Jake is survived by: a daughter, Kelly Henry of Uhrichsville; two sons, Doug Henry of Uhrichsville and Jake Henry of Moundsville; a grandson, Jonathan Irby; two brothers, Norval “Wayne” (Brenda) Finnicum of Tennessee and Jeffery Finnicum and his fiancé Ashawnna of Bellaire; and three sisters, Linda (Brian) Cetorelli of Bellaire, Debbie (John) Baker and Evelyn (Chuck) Tiger both of Bridgeport. He is also survived by his former wife, Sue Henry of Uhrichsville.
Additionally, Jake is survived by five special friends, Robert Cieslewsky of Bellaire, Sue Dingman of Uhrichsville, Dave Pall of Uhrichsville, Sandy Carman of Powhatten and Paul Vance of Uhrichsville.
Along with his father, Jake was preceded in death by maternal grandparents, Jacob & Cora Olive Henry Daily.
Friends are invited to gather and help celebrate his life on Friday, June 4, from 4-7 p.m. in the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home, New Philadelphia. Rev. Steven Court will conduct a brief service beginning at 7:00 p.m.
In keeping with his wishes, following the services, Jake�(TM)s body will be cremated with interment in the Grandview Union Cemetery at Strasburg at a later date.
