Jacquelyn June Franks, 75, of Dover, died Wednesday, Sept. 24, 2008. Jacquelyn had been hospitalized since suffering a heart attack on June 7.

Born, Jan. 23, 1933, in Norton Twp., Summit Co., she was a daughter of the late James and Ruth Thomas McGinnis. Jacquelyn graduated from Doylestown High School in 1952, and went to work for the Weather Seal Co. in Barberton. On Nov. 13, 1955, she married Charles B. Franks and they resided in Dover where they reared their family and have operated a dairy farm to the present day. Jacquelyn was also a very caring and devoted home health aide. In her spare time, she volunteered at nursing facilities in the Dover area, as well as the Senior Center of Tuscarawas County.

She was a member of the Worldwide Church of God for some thirty-nine years, and also was a long-time attendee at the Foursquare Gospel Church in Dover.

Survivors include her husband, Charles; a daughter, Mary Ann (Allan) Forchione of Canton; two sons, Robert Franks of New Orleans, LA, and James (Becky) Franks of Columbiana Co.; a daughter-in-law, Debbie Franks of North Canton; ten grandchildren, Chris and Angie Franks, Tanya and John Franks, Candice and Mariah Franks, and Joey, Tony, Vinny and Anna Forchione; a sister Shirley (Roy) Russell of Mesquite, TX; sisters-in-law, Margaret McGinnis of Medina, and Pat McGinnis of Doylestown; a brother-in-law, Robert Birch of Barberton; an uncle Jim "Dude" Thomas of Bradenton, FL; several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Jacquelyn was preceded in death by a son, William "Bill" Franks; a sister, Joyce Birch; two brothers, James McGinnis, Jr., and Clifford McGinnis.

A funeral service will be held Monday, Sept. 29, at 1:30 p.m., in the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home & Crematory, 803 N. Wooster Ave., Dover, with Pastors Todd Crouch and Mary Kay Moore officiating. Burial will be in Dover Burial Park. Following the committal, there will be a reception in the Foursquare Gospel Church, 302 E. Slingluff Ave., Dover.
