James A. “Jim” Baughman, 69, of Strasburg and formerly of Roswell, passed away on Saturday, October 16, 2021, at the Union Hospital Cleveland Clinic in Dover.
Born in Uhrichsville on February 9, 1952, he was the son of the late Charles and Kathryn Baughman. Jim graduated from Indian Valley High School. Shortly after graduation, he honorably served our country in the United States Army. He was an instructor at the Big Rig Truck Driving School for many years.
He loved car racing, car shows, fishing and always enjoyed a good debate.
Jim leaves behind his wife, the former Pam Hawk, whom he married on July 19, 1974; his children, Christopher (Heidi) Baughman of Uhrichsville, Jill Dunfee of Gnadenhutten, and Brian (Darla) Baughman of Dover; his grandchildren, Savian, Preston, and Raine; his nieces and nephews, Jamie Hawk, Jennifer (James) Flaherty, and Andy (Janea) Baughman; along with his buddy and canine companion, Chase Maxwell.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Michael, and Andy Baughman; and his son-in-law, Gary Dunfee.
