James B. "Jim" Orum, 50 of Carrollton, died Sunday, January 2, 2000 at Mercy Medical Center after a short illness.
He had worked the past five years as a welder and fitter for Minerva Welding & Fabricating.
Born October 24, 1949 at Pleasant Grove, WV, he was a son of the late James Clifford & Gladys Palmer Orum.
Jim enjoyed flying, and loved working on the family farm.
He is survived by his wife, Donna Burkhart Orum, whom he wed on July 29, 1967.
Other survivors include: daughter, Loretta & Stephen Christner, and son Eric & Christy Orum all of Carrollton, four grandchildren, a brother, Dale Palmer of West Virginia, father and mother-in-law Delmar & Doris Burkhart of Carrollton in addition to many loving friends and co-workers.
In keeping with Jim's wishes, cremation will take place. There are no calling hours. The family will host a public memorial service on Saturday, January 8 at 1:00pm in the Family Worship Center at 225 Lisbon St., Carrollton.
