James E. "Jimmy" Wallace, Jr., 52, of Dover, died Wednesday, February 9, 2011 in Union Hospital following a lengthy period of illness.
Born June 23, 1958 at Dover he was the son of James E Wallace, Sr. of Dover and the late Nancy M. Brink Wallace.
He worked for many years as a woodworker and furniture maker with Canal Dover Furniture. He enjoyed the craft of woodworking and spent much of his free time designing and finishing all kinds of pieces in his own woodshop. He also enjoyed finishing and painting his work and was able to stretch his painting talent even further by painting a number of watercolor prints over the years as well.
Survivors include: three children: Savannah L. Wallace of Williamsburg, Virginia, Samantha D. Wallace of Dover, and Jesse Wallace of Canton; two grandchildren, Korena a sister, Christine (George) Cox of Cutler; a brother, Jerry D. Wallace of New Philadelphia; a niece and two nephews.
Cremation will be handled through the care of Toland-Herzig Funeral Home & Crematory, Dover. The family will hold a memorial gathering on Thursday, February 17 from 3-7 p.m. in the Dover Eagles Club.
