James E. Young, 65, of Dover, Ohio died Thursday, July 3, 2003 at his daughter�(TM)s home in New Philadelphia following an extended illness.
Born May 19, 1938 in Ravenna, Ohio, he was the son of the late David and Ethel Young.
He was a retired employee of Nickles Bakery in Navarre.
He was a US Army Veteran having served during the Korean War as a Chemical Lab specialist. He loved Nascar Racing and was an avid Tony Stewart fan.
James is survived by his loving wife, Goldia Mann Duncan Young with whom he celebrated 24 years of marriage on June 30.
He is also survived by three daughters; Joanna Lusoski of Willoughby, Jacquie (Russell) Frazee of Lewis Center, Ohio and Susan (Bob) Richards of New Philadelphia; two sons David (Rhonda) Duncan of Dover and Thomas (Patricia) Duncan of New Philadelphia; One sister, Rosalie Haines of Uniontown; seven grandchildren, Melanie, Travis, and Kristin Duncan Starr (Troy) Amos, Pete Endres, J.T. Lusoski and Samantha Frazee; two great grandsons Dakota Amos and Kruz Endres and many loving nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by one granddaughter, Vanessa Duncan and one brother in law, Gerald “Sonny” Haines.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, July 5, 2003 at 11 am in the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home at Dover with Rev. Glen Shedlock officiating. Interment will be in the Dover Burial Park where the Dover VFW will conduct military graveside services. Friends may call at the funeral home Friday (Today) from 5-8 pm.
