James F. Kadri Jr.

James F. (JK) Kadri Jr., 49, of 124 ½ North Ave. N.E., New Philadelphia, Ohio died Sunday, June 12, 2005 in Doctors Hospital at Massillon following an extended illness.

Jim was an oil driller for many years.

Born November 26, 1955 in Dennison, Ohio, he was the son of the late James F. Kadri Sr. and Betty Mishler Kadri Johnson.

James attended Indian Valley North High School and later received his GED. He received a business degree from Marion Technical College and a Bachelors Degree in culinary arts, hotel and restaurant management from Hocking Technical College. He was an avid collector of bears. He was a Methodist by faith.

He is survived by his wife Marsha Roseann (DeVault) Kadri with whom he would have celebrated his first anniversary on August 20; his mother in law, Mabel DeVault of Dover; two brothers, Duane “Tink” Kadri and his companion, Jaelyn Hayes of Dennison and Michael Kadri of Minerva; a brother in law, Michael (Danielle) DeVault of Uhrichsville and a sister in law, Marty DeVault and her companion, James Shoup and his special nieces and nephews, Mia and Marissa DeVault, Louella Shoup and Timberly Hardesty, Lacy, Chaz, Mindy, Savannah, Keaton, and Kao Kadri along with his children and grandchildren; his beta fish, Angel and two dogs, Max and Micah; The family would also like to offer a special thanks to his home health caregivers.

James was preceded in death by a brother, Joe Kadri.

Funeral services celebrating James life will be held Thursday, June 16, 2005 at 11am in the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home & Crematory in Dover with Rev. Glen Shedlock officiating. Interment will be in the Dover Burial Park. Friends may call at the funeral home on Wednesday from 5-8 pm.
