James J. Bambeck, 81, of 5998 St. Peters Church Rd. NW, Dover, Ohio died Sunday, July 30, 2000 in his home following a brief illness.
He retired as an Operating Engineer for Alliance City Construction where he worked for twenty years and also was a former service manager for Weaver Truck Trailer Company at Dover for twelve years.
Born April 30, 1919 in Dover, he was the son of the late William and Irene Geckler Bambeck.
Jim was a member of the St. John’s United Church of Christ in Dover, Tuscarawas Masonic Lodge at Dover and was a World War II U.S. Army Veteran. He was a 1937 graduate of St. Joseph high School.
He is survived by his wife Eileen Huffman Bambeck with whom he celebrated 57 years of marriage on Jan. 8.

Two Sons Jack (Cathy) Bambeck and Mack (Kay) Bambeck both of Dover
Eight grandchildren Jeffery Sackett, Kelly Pyle, Denise Adams, Craig, Doug, Jason, and Jennifer Bambeck and Marcie Castricone and eight great grandsons.
Jim was preceded in death by one sister, Sr. Mary Anastais and his stepmother, Anna Bambeck.
Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, Aug. 2, 2000 at 1:30 PM in the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home at Dover with Rev. Steve Daniels officiating. Interment will be in the Dover Burial Park. Friends may call at the funeral home Tuesday from 4-7 PM.
