James F. Knisely II, age 49, of New Philadelphia, passed away Tuesday, February 6, 2024, in Cleveland Clinic Mercy Medical Center, Canton, from complications following foot surgery.
Born November 24, 1974, in Akron, he was the son of Patricia Powers Ingram and the late James F. Knisely. James graduated from Akron Central Hower High School and was employed in the gas and oil industry. He married the former Veronica M. Brown, who survives. The couple have two young children, James F. III and Jaiden O. Knisely. James was a loving husband and father. Some of his favorite pastimes were toy collecting - particularly Hasbro G.I. Joes and other action figures, as well as watching WWE Wrestling.
In addition to his mother, his wife, Veronica, and his children James and Jaiden, James is survived by his two older children, Terry and Jennifer Higgins; his sister, Poppy Moritz; his nieces, Becky Rocco and Emily Falcone; his great-niece, Brynlynn Rocco; and his other dear friend and “brother,” Michael Samsel.
Besides his father, James was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Coleman P. and Katherine L. Yerkey Powers, with whom he was very close.
Cremation is in the care of the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home & Crematory, Dover. There will be no services at this time.
