James L. "Jim" Higgins

James L. “Jim” Higgins, 47, of Dover died Friday, January 30, 2004 at the Cleveland Clinic following a five year battle with cancer.

He was employed at INCA Presswood in Dover with 25 years of service.

Born July 12, 1956 in Dover he was a son of Bertha Phillips Higgins of Dover and the late Floyd Higgins.

He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Dover, and the Elk's Lodge of New Philadelphia. He was a 1974 graduate of Dover High School and a graduate of Lincoln Technical College in Indiana. Jim was a football and baseball fan, and enjoyed following the Browns and Indians. In his spare time he also loved to play golf.

James is survived by his wife Kimberly Fox Higgins with whom he would have celebrated 24 years of marriage on May 24, 2004.

He is also survived by three brothers: Christopher (Joann) Higgins of Standish, MI
Gary (Beverly) Higgins of Louisville, OH
Ronald (Kathy) Higgins of Wooster

Cremation has taken place. A memorial mass will be held on Thursday, February 5, 2004 at 10:30 am in St. Joseph Catholic Church at Dover with Fr. William Arnold officiating. Following the mass Elk�(TM)s services and a reception will be held at the New Philadelphia Elk�(TM)s Lodge at 1180 Union Ave. NW New Philadelphia. There are no calling hours.
