James L. Stein

James Lewis “Jim” Stein, Sr., 62, of Dover, died Friday, July 6, 2007 in Union Hospital.

He was born August 29, 1944 at Dover, one of 15 children born to the late Clarence & Minnie Lang Stein.

Jim was a man with simple interests. He had a strong work ethic, whether on one of his many construction jobs over the years, or just working around the house �" whatever he was working on was going to get done, and be perfect when he was finished. He had a kind heart and will also be remembered for having a very sharp sense of humor.

For the past eight years, he had shared his life with his loving companion, Minnie McCune, who survives.

The many family members he leaves behind will also sadly miss him. They include: three children, Jammie (Jason) Kreiter of Concordia, Kansas, James (Samantha) Stein, Jr., and Christopher Stein and his companion Tina Mann all of Acworth, GA; four grandchildren, Brandon & Ricky Kreiter, and Makayla and Johnathan Stein; four brothers, Wayne, Charles, Glen, and Gene; and three sisters, Betty, Twila, and Shirley.

In addition to his parents, Jim was preceded in death by: a son, Brenton; daughter Dorothy; six brothers, Donald, Kenneth, Richard, Raymond, David, Adrian; and a sister, Minnie.

His cremation has been entrusted to the care of Toland-Herzig Funeral Homes & Crematory, Dover.

A public memorial service that celebrates Jim�(TM)s life will be held Thursday, July 12, at 11:00 a.m. in Renner�(TM)s St. Paul United Church of Christ at Baltic with Rev. Sharon Jacobsen officiating. Following the service, a fellowship luncheon will be held outside in the church pavilion.
