James A. "Frenchy" LeBlanc

James A. “Frenchy” LeBlanc, age 64, of Dover was born on December 8, 1960, in Lafayette, Louisiana, and left this world on January 27, 2025, at Ohio's Hospice Truman House in New Philadelphia. He was surrounded by his loved ones. 

He was the son of the late James C. LeBlanc and Rose Marie Blanchard. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his grandparents, Jack and Rowena Blanchard. 

Frenchy graduated in 1979 from Tusky Valley High School. He owned and operated Inside Out Nutrition in New Philadelphia. 

In addition to his professional achievements, James was a man of many talents and eclectic interests. He enjoyed being a DJ and sharing his love for music through his venture, JukeBox Entertainment. His enthusiasm for singing karaoke brought joy to many, reflecting his vibrant personality and love for entertaining others. Sports held a special place in his heart; he was an avid bowler and proudly played on the Hetrick Softball team, fostering friendships and camaraderie along the way.

On March 19, 2009, he married Lori Swinderman, who survives. He will also be sadly missed by his children; David (Brooke) LeBlanc of Gnadenhutten, Julie (Jason) Stratton of Belmont, Jaelyn LeBlanc of the home; his step-sons, Sean and Kris Swinderman; his grandchildren, Bradyn, Parker, Layne, Bradley, Nate, Madi, Asher, London, Ryker, Kaydence, and Gohan; along with his brothers, Mike, Todd, Austin, and Alec; and two sisters, Tina and Roxann. 

In honoring his wishes, cremation has taken place. A memorial gathering will be held at the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home & Crematory in Dover on Sunday, February 2, 2025, from 1-3 pm. To sign an online guestbook for James, visit the obituary link on the funeral home’s website.
