James M. Dearth, 81, of Dover died Sunday, June 13, 2004 in University Hospital at Cleveland following a three month illness.
He retired in 1964 from the United States Air Force. Following retirement, he was an employee of the Gradall Company in New Philadelphia.
Born January 7, 1923 in Dover, he was the son of the late Glen and Clara Mae Swinderman Dearth.
Jim was a 1941 graduate of Dover High School. He was an avid gardener and was a great husband and a loving father.
He is survived by his wife, Jeanne with whom he would have celebrated 55 years of marriage on July 9.
He is also survived by three sons Glen (Peggy) Dearth of Columbus, Doug Dearth of Dover and Dan Dearth of Sandusky. One sister, Clara Mae Clark of Dover.
Jim was preceded in death by one brother, Ray Dearth.
A funeral service celebrating Jim�(TM)s life will be held Thursday, June 17, 2004 at 11 am in the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home at Dover with Rev. Glen Shedlock officiating. A reception will follow in the Toland-Herzig Monarch Center. Friends may call at the funeral home on Wednesday from 5-8 pm.
