James M. “Jimmy” Scott, 54, of Dover and formerly of Strasburg died Tuesday, Jan. 25, 2022 in his home following an extended illness.
Born Oct. 24, 1967 in Dover, he was the son of James and Barbara (Doney) Scott of Strasburg.
Jimmy was a machine operator for Wayne Door in Mt. Hope until illness forced his retirement.
He graduated from Tusky Valley High School in 1986. He was formerly a range officer for CCW and taught gun safety. He was a published photographer and enjoyed kayaking, traveling and was a DJ having loved music.
In addition to his parents, Jimmy is survived by his daughter, Jessica (Dakota) Murphy of Wainwright; two grandchildren Brice and Adilyn and his companion, Julie Maurer of Dover; aunts and uncles, Shirley Roseberry and Helen Waltz both of Midvale and Randy Scott of Bellefontaine and "adopted grandchildren, Zoey and Elijah Young. He will also be sadly missed by his canine companion, Rambo. He was preceded in death by his sister, Jami Scott.
A celebration of Jimmy’s life will be held Saturday, Feb. 5, 2022 from 1-3pm in the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home & Crematory at 140 S. Bodmer Ave., Strasburg. Those who cannot attend can sign the online guestbook by visiting the funeral home website at www.tolandherzig.com
