James M. Shroyer

James "Jim" M. Shroyer, 59, of Dover passed away on Saturday, November 29, 2014 at the Community Hospice House following a courageous battle with Multiple Myeloma since 2007.




Born on October 9, 1955 in Claremont, New Hampshire, he was the son of the late William R. and Mary F. Ziegler Shroyer. He was also preceded in death by his daughter, Nicole Shroyer.




On October 9, 1981, he married Brenda Moore, who survives. He was a faithful member of the Christian church.




Jim was employed at Bill Hawk Inc. For the past 28 years, he had been working for ProVia Door.




He enjoyed playing softball, having coached for Dover Rotary and other Teams for the past 18 years. He also loved fishing and golfing.




In addition to his wife, Brenda, he will be sadly missed by his daughters; Christina (Andrew) Malachin of Dover; Stacey Shroyer of the home; six grandchildren, Jade, Junior, Maggie and Emilee Malachin of Dover, Kelsee Graves of Killbuck, and Rylee Newton of Dover; mother in-law, Alice Moore of Dover; three step siblings, Tim (Karen) Weaver of Stone Creek, Terry (Linda) Correll and John (Joyce) Correll both of Dover; sister's in law, Barbara (Kim) Smitley of Dover, Sally (Terry) McRobie of New Philadelphia; brother's in law, David Suddoth of Dover, and Phil Anderson of Akron, along with several nieces and nephews .




A celebration of James' life will be held at the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home & Crematory in Dover on Thursday, December 4, 2014 at 11:00 am with Pastor William C. Lavely officiating. Interment will take place at Ridgecrest Memory Gardens. Following the service of committal, a meal will be served at the Dover Church of Christ. Friends are invited to call at the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home & Crematory in Dover on Wednesday, December 3, 2014 from 2-4pm and 6-8pm.
