James R. Graybill, Sr.

James R. Graybill, Sr., 73, of Strasburg, died Monday, April 30, 2001 in his home following a long illness.

He retired after 30 years of service from the Tyson Bearing plant at Massillon.

Born August 15, 1927 at Massillon, he was a son of Hazel Caldwell Graybill of Massillon and the late Ralph Graybill.

James was a veteran of the US Army.

He is survived by his wife, Ethel Knight Graybill, whom he wed on February 19, 1951.

In addition to his father, James was preceded in death by a daughter Jeanne Marie.

A Public graveside service will be held Friday, May 4 at 2pm in the Grandview Union Cemetery with Rev. James Graybill, Sr. officiating. VFW graveside services will also be held at this time. Friends may call on Friday from noon - 1:45 at the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home in Strasburg.
