James R. Judy, 89, of Dover died Wednesday, February 28, 2018 in the Community Hospice Truman House.
Born April 9, 1928 in Dover he was a son of the late John and Emma Archinal Judy. Jim was also preceded in death by his wife, Marijane Judy on April 11, 2007, and his brothers, Bob and Ken Judy.
He retired as a Crane Operator from Greer Steel after more than 40 years of service. Jim proudly served his country with the United States Marine Corps and was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. He was an avid gardener, who took great pride in growing tomatoes and loved watching the Cleveland Indians.
Jim is survived by his children, Matt Judy and Tracey Anne Judy both of Dover; sisters, Jane (Bob) Augsburger of Massillon, Sue (Ron) Fondriest of Dover, Karen Dapoz of Pennsylvania and his beloved granddog, Harvey.
A funeral mass will be celebrated on Saturday, March 10th at 10:30 am in the St. Joseph Catholic Church with Fr. Jimmy Hatfield officiating. Interment will be at the Dover Burial Park. Friends may call in the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home and Crematory at Dover on Friday from 5-7 pm with Christian Wake Services starting at 6:45. The family would like to thank the nurses and staff at Community Hospice and the Truman House for their outstanding and compassionate care shown towards Jim.
