James W. ''Jim'' Sanders

April 15, 1937 — December 24, 2000

James W. ''Jim'' Sanders, 63, of Dover died Sunday, December 24, 2000 at Union Hospital following a brief illness.

He retired from the Tuscarawas Branch of Kent State University as a Chemistry Professor.

Born April 15, 1937 in Zanesville he was a son of the late Chester and Grace Mathews Sanders.

He was a member of the Tuscarawas County Photographic Association where he was currently serving as Treasurer. He was an avid photographer and enjoyed gardening and reading.

Jim is survived by his wife Kathy Smith Sanders, with whom he celebrated 33 years of marriage on December 2, 2000.

Cremation has taken place. Memorial services will be held on Friday, January 5, 2001 at 11:00 am in the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home at Dover with Rev. Steve Daniels officiating. Friends may call at the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home on Thursday, January 4, from 4-7 pm. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Tuscarawas County or to the charity of ones choice.
