James W. Weinsz

Jim W. Weinsz, 69, of E. Front St., Dover, Ohio died Friday, August 27, 1999 at Meridian Euclid Hospital in Euclid following an extended illness.
He was a retired schoolteacher and was a football and basketball coach.

Born June 8, 1930 in Dover, he was the son of the late Winfred 'Winnie' and Helen C. Rearick Weinsz.

Jim was a 1948 graduate of Dover High School where he was an outstanding athlete.  He played basketball for Bowling Green State University.  He was also a US Air Force Veteran during the Korean Conflict and played both basketball and baseball for the Scott Air Force Base.  He was also a former athletic director.   He was a member of the Dover Elks Lodge.

He is survived by his sister  Mrs. Bob (Pat) Williams of Dover
Two Nephews and one niece  Steve Meese of Dover,  Jim Meese of Hancock, Michigan and Barb Yosick of New Philadelphia.

Private graveside services will be held Monday in the Dover Burial Park with Rev. Allen Bergmann officiating.  There are no public calling hours.

The Toland-Herzig Funeral Home in Dover is handling arrangements.
