Jane F. Davis Renner

Jane F. Davis Renner, 89, formerly of Dover and New Philadelphia died Saturday, December 7, 2002 in Winter Haven, Florida.

Born June 22, 1913 in Cleveland she was the daughter of the late Dr. Edgar C. Davis, Sr. and Elizabeth Waite Hawkins.

Jane was a graduate of Linden Hall School for Girls in Lititz, PA.

On June 16, 1935 she married Dorren L. Renner, a prominent New Philadelphia lawyer who died in April 1982.

She was a member of the General Society of Mayflower Descendants, and during her lifetime she was also active in many civic and charitable organizations, but her much loved family came first.
She was an avid bridge enthusiast, and belonged to several clubs.

She is survived by a daughter: Ann “Toni” (Robert) Barger of Winter Haven, Florida

Son: James (Jeanette “Jan”) Renner of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma

Five grandchildren: Michael (Lori) Barger Jessica (Jerry) Weers
Laura Jane (James) Baker Jeremy (Jeanna) Renner
Jennifer (Ronnie) Howell

Funeral services will be held on Friday, December 13, 2002 at 11:00 am in the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home at Dover with Rev. Jeffrey Gerber of the New Philadelphia United Church of Christ, where Jane was a member, will officiate. Interment will be at East Avenue Cemetery in New Philadelphia. Following the burial a reception will be held at the Toland-Herzig Monarch Center. Friends can call at the funeral home on Thursday from 6-8 pm and one hour prior to the services on Friday.
