Janet J. Prysi

Janet J. Prysi, 81, of Midvale died Saturday, August 9, 2017 in the Claymont Health Center.

Born September 7, 1936 in Hollidaysburg, Pennsylvania, she was a daughter of the late Raymond and Mereda Burkheimer Kratzer. Janet was also preceded in death by her son, James Prysi II; two brothers and two sisters.

She retired in 2007 from the American Red Cross in New Philadelphia; she was a member of Emmanuel Lutheran Church and the Uhrichsville Moose. Janet enjoyed playing cards, and was a voracious reader, sometimes reading as many as 4-5 novels a week.

Janet will be sadly missed by her husband of 62 years, James A. Prysi, whom she married on January 8, 1955; daughters, Sherry Martin of Uhrichsville, Vicki (Joseph) Bays of New Philadelphia; brother, Richard (Nancy) Kratzer of Virginia; grandchildren, Patrick (Valerie) Martin, Mathew Martin, Jennifer Martin, Brooke Bays and four great grandchildren.
