Janet M. Landis, 86, of Dover passed away on Tuesday, May 11, 2021 in the Community Hospice Truman House.
Born October 29, 1934 in Sugarcreek she was a daughter of the late Rollar and Gladys Bobo Ayers. Janet was also preceded in death by a son, Earl Landis; sister, Margaret Weaver; brothers, Willard, Ray, Max, Jimmy, Keith, Zane, Von and Emmett Ayers; along with her beloved dogs.
She retired as a Manager from Qualex Photo Finishers in Canton after 15 years of service. Janet was a member of Dover Bible Church, where she taught Sunday school, belonged to the Thursday Evening Bible Study, and served as a foster grandparent at Central Elementary in New Philadelphia. She loved spending time with her grandchildren, and in her younger years, riding her motorcycle.
Janet is survived by her son Allen “Al” (Debby) Landis of Dover; grandchildren, Jennifer Leitner, Sara Landis, Nathan (Erin) Landis; great grandchildren, Devin, Rylin, Jaiden, Eliana, Ryker; and her dog, Ruby II.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, May 15th starting at 11:00 am in the Dover Bible Church with Pastor Jim Lusher and Pastor Mark Brittain officiating. Interment will be at the Dover Burial Park. Following the burial, a luncheon will be held in the church social hall. The family will be greeting friends on Friday from 5-7 pm in the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home and Crematory at Dover.
