Janet R. (Incarnato) Deetz of 600 W. 14th St., Dover, Ohio died Wednesday, January 26, 2000 following a nine year illness. Born December 18, 1912 in Dover, she was the daughter of the late Nicholas and Philomena Nigro Incarnato. Janet was in the tavern business for nearly 70 years. Until 1991, she owned and operated “JD’s Rendezvous” on Tuscarawas Ave. Dover which is now “Moran’s Nite-Life.” She was a lifelong resident of this area and member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church. She loved to play bingo and the Italian game, Morra. She was a staunch Democrat who campaigned and supported the candidates of the democratic party for 68 years. She was never far from her beloved dog, Amber, who was her constant companion for 15 years. Janet was a former member and officer of the Ladies of the Moose, Army Navy Auxiliary, and the Veterans of Foreign Wars Ladies Auxiliary. She was married to the late Adrian Deetz, Sr. on October 28, 1939. Janet was preceded by her husband who died March 1, 1970. Janet is survived by her children Adrian J. (Buddy) Deetz Jr. of Dover, Sandra (Sandy) K. Deetz of Sarasota, Florida, and Sherry L. Moran and son in law Richard of Dover whom she resided with for the past nine years. Grandchildren Angela Jo (Deetz) Lindsay of Mineral City, Kristopher Kelly (Bruiser) Moran of New Philadelphia and wife Melissa, Brock P. Moran of the home Great grandchildren Jonathan A. Lindsay and Eric A. Lindsay both of Mineral City, Thorn J. Deetz of Dover, Justice Alberta Nicole and Kameron Kristopher Moran of New Philadelphia. Sisters Mrs. Myles (Carmella) Luce of Carrollton, Mrs. Delores (Dolly) Frescki of Dover, and Wilma (Libby) Zaychek of Cuyahoga Falls, and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Tony Incarnato, Philip Incarnato, and Carmie Incarnato who were all infants. Also brothers Chauncey Incarnato of Dover, John Incarnato of Dover, Joseph Incarnato of Dover, and Nicholas (Nick) Incarnato Sr. of New Philadelphia and Raymond Incarnato Sr. of Dover and sisters, Anna McClain of Dover and Virginia Jean Incarnato Lappen of Dover. A Funeral Mass will be held Saturday, Jan. 29, 2000 at 1:30 PM in the St. Joseph’s Catholic Church at Dover with Fr. William Arnold officiating. Interment will be in the St. Joseph Cemetery on Sixth St. in Dover. Visiting hours will be held on Friday from 2-4 & 7-9 PM at the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home in Dover where Christian Wake Services will begin at 8:45 PM.
