Janice K. Trachsel

Janice K. Trachsel, 64, of New Philadelphia, died Sunday, August 25, 2002 in her home.

She had worked in the bookkeeping department of the former Warner & Swasey at New Philadelphia.

Born July 6, 1938 at Dover, she was daughter of the late Dwight A. & Eva Marie Stahl Lawrence.

A 1956 graduate of New Philadelphia High School, Janice was a member of the Church of Christ in New Phila. She enjoyed collecting postage stamps, hand crafting ceramic pieces, oil painting and enjoyed cooking special dishes such as her famous chili. She was a devoted wife and mother and especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren.

She is survived by her husband, William F. Trachsel, whom she wed on June 21, 1958.

Other survivors include: son; Derek & Tammi Trachsel of New Phila., grandchildren; Dane & Kori Trachsel, and sister, Marilyn Stratton of Brightwood.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, August 28, at 11:00am in the Dover Christian & Missionary Alliance Church with Rev. Richard Rose officiating. Interment will be in the Ridgecrest Memory Gardens.

Due to the renovations of Toland-Herzig�(TM)s New Philadelphia location, friends may call in the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home, Dover on Tuesday from 3-5 & 7-9pm and one hour prior to services at the church on Wednesday.
